Unfortunately due to the coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride 2020 event has been postponed and is now scheduled to take place on Saturday 3rd October 2020.

The good news is that for those already registered with the event, your place is still valid and no further action will be required; we are hoping you are still available to take part.

We do understand that riders may have other plans on this date (it is the London Marathon weekend) which would unfortunately mean you are unable to take part. If for any reason you aren’t available on 3 October, please do contact the agency where you registered (Heart Research UK/British Cycling) to di...

Children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent has benefited to the tune of £1,700 from a donation by Wetherby Lions.

This money will provide start-up costs for treatment for 10 Yorkshire youngsters who are unfortunately diagnosed with the disease.  CLIC Sargent’s Ryan Judson was on hand to receive the funds at the most recent Lions meeting.  He explained that for every child diagnosed with cancer there is an immediate cost of £170. A Wetherby child, for instance, would need to be transported to Leeds for treatment, probably on a daily basis.

Wetherby Lions will be on hand at the local Morrison’s store on 1st to 4th February to support 'World Cancer Day' with a bu...
