Unfortunately due to the coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride 2020 event has been postponed and is now scheduled to take place on Saturday 26th September 2020.

The good news is that for those already registered with the event, your place is still valid and no further action will be required; we are hoping you are still available to take part.

We do understand that riders may have other plans on this date (it is the London Marathon weekend) which would unfortunately mean you are unable to take part. If for any reason you aren’t available on26th September, please do contact the agency where you registered (Heart Research UK/British Cycling)...

Wetherby Lions Win Best Lions Website in the North of England and Scotland

Wetherby Lions, through the good auspices of Webmaster Lion John Wardley, were proud to receive the prestigious Lions trophy shield for being the winner of the Yorkshire District website competition.  This is the Fourth year running that Wetherby Lions have been awarded the winning trophy.

Webmaster Lion John Wardley commented “For the third year I have continued the excellent work of my predecessor Joanne Maltby and I am proud to receive this award again on behalf of Wetherby Lions Club.  I could not have achieved the standard required without the excellent information being provided to me by my fellow Lion members”.
