Wetherby District Lions and Morrison’s are working together for the benefit of our local community and have a very close working relationship with Morrison’s Community Champion. Lion members are able to replenish funds through in-store ‘bag packs’ and to contribute to Morrison’s efforts to support the most vulnerable in the community. We also support each other’s events – advertising and selling tickets for Lion’s promotions such as the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride, Wetherby Duck Race; Wetherby Beer Festival; the very popular Santa’s Sleigh; raising funds for CLIC Sargent; Morrison’s community quiz and regular ‘one day’ events such as ‘Yorkshire Day’.

Wetherby District Lions Club members are really pleased to be able to offer some financial support to this fantastic programme of dance for young people!
Under the auspices of Wetherby Arts Festival, dance professional Katy Hewison, based in Wetherby, assisted by three other dance artists, will lead 'Improplay', a project which brings together young children, educators and dance artists into creative reflective spaces, exploring dance improvisation and its effects on learning, engagement and energy awareness.
Lion members hope that the values of 'Inspire, Experience and Share' will shine through, that in this new era of community living, families, children and people in Wetherby will be touched, supported and encouraged by this inspirational endeavour.

Wetherby District Lions Club members have developed an extremely close and mutually beneficial partnership with Wetherby Morrison's to support the local community. Morrison's Community Champion, Mark Hopkins, has played an integral part in supporting various Lions events and many of our local charities have benefited from Lions 'bag packs' at the store.
Lions President, Tim Ritson, was delighted to present a 'Certificate of Appreciation' to Wetherby Store Manager, Paul Saville in recognition of the support from the company.

For me it was an absolute bargain as it was free of charge, however I gave a donation to them towards their annual servicing costs. The new wheelchair has made it 10 times easier already for my mother to get around and it will benefit towards her getting out more often. We can't thank the Wetherby Lions enough for the services t...
