Children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent has benefited to the tune of £1,700 from a donation by Wetherby Lions.

This money will provide start-up costs for treatment for 10 Yorkshire youngsters who are unfortunately diagnosed with the disease.  CLIC Sargent’s Ryan Judson was on hand to receive the funds at the most recent Lions meeting.  He explained that for every child diagnosed with cancer there is an immediate cost of £170. The Lions’ latest cheque made out to the YAA brings the total donated from its annual festivals down the years to more than £35,000.   And the YAA’s Jenny Jones, on hand to receive the cheque, paid tribute to the Lions’ efforts, s...
