Christine Talbot to start the Wetherby Duck Race this Sunday

This year's fabulous Wetherby Duck Race will be taking place on the final day of the popular Wetherby Food Festival. All 2,000 ducks will be given an individual ticket number and released at 11am by local celebrity Christine Talbot, flocking their way along a 300m course finishing at the Ings metal footbridge.

Wetherby Lions will this year be supported by students & staff from Wetherby High School and local businesses, raising funds for the York Rescue Boat Fund in celebration of the life of Megan Roberts.

Duck tickets are just £2 and available at numerous shops throughout Wetherby:

5. Treasure Toys, High Street

FIRST PRIZE: £300

SECOND PRIZE: £150

THIRD PRIZE: £50
