Senior Citizens’ Annual Party
On Saturday, 30th January, 2016 the club entertained some 160 invited guests at their 43rd annual Senior Citizens’ Party at Wetherby High School.
An excellent two-course meal, preceded by some bingo, was followed by a concert in the main school hall. The Katrina Hughes School of Dance and a troupe of Lions comprising four girl students from the High School were enthusiastically applauded for their performances.
Our thanks go to Wetherby High School for the use again of their facilities, to Alan and Gareth Lamb of Lambs of Leeds Ltd. for the catering, to Town Mayor Harry Chapman and his lady for their attendance and hard work and to the many helpers from the community who helped make this a memorable occasion for all the guests.
