Support for Rural Community

Lion members were pleased to recently donate £2,000 towards the cost for a mobile /handheld ultrasound machine which will make a real positive difference to the rural community around the Wetherby area.

This specialist machine will make a real difference in the speed and care for the elderly and infirm in our rural areas and also reduce the need for ambulance transportation costs taking patients to hospitals several miles away. All training costs to use this specialist equipment have been met by the medical staff themselves.
