Support for YAA Birthday Balloon Race

September 15, 2020

As a much-loved charity The Yorkshire Air Ambulance celebrates its 20th anniversary next month, long-time supporters Wetherby Lions will be helping it to fly high. A sponsored balloon race will feature as part of the festivities. And, with the Lions-backed Wetherby Beer Festival unable to go ahead this year because of the pandemic, its usual sponsors are being encouraged to turn their attentions to helping the YAA event. The YAA Virtual Balloon Race will run throughout its birthday week starting at 12 pm on Monday 19th October and finishing at 12 pm on Sunday 25th October on its 20th Birthday. Balloons cost £3 each to buy and can be purchased through the online shophttps://www.yorkshireairambulance.org.uk/product/yaa-20th-anniversary-virtual-balloon-race-balloon/. Participants can purchase as many as they like, with over 20 colours and designs to choose from. There are prizes for the three winning balloons and a bonus prize for the owner of the fourth-placed balloon. 1) £100 B&M Vouchers, donated by Doncaster Lakeside 2) Marley Stir It Up Record Player 3) Betty’s Gift Box, donated by Betty’s Northallerton Wetherby Lions congratulates the YAA on its anniversary and wishes the organisation every success with its fund-raising balloon race.
