Wetherby Lions were privileged to play host at their latest meeting to Nigel Ware, 1st Vice District Governor. This was a significant visit as it coincided with the Lions’ AGM and their first 'face to face' meeting for six months.

The meeting venue was COVID-19 secure as Lion members had been asked to maintain social distancing and use sanitising products as required. 'Zoom' facilities were provided for Lion members preferring to remain at home.

Lion Nigel was welcomed by Wetherby Lion President Tim Ritson.

Our visitor showed great enthusiasm for proposals to continue this year with Santa’s Sleigh despite the uncertainties ahead. The need to constantly review all activities in light of the developing COVID-19 situation was stressed while, said Nigel, there was an ongoing responsibility to be aware of the needs of the local community.
