'There are more questions than answers'

At least that was the situation at Wetherby Lions Annual Quiz

Eleven Wetherby businesses combined to help Lions raise £1,000 to donate to Yorkshire Air Ambulance

​

‘The evening was beautifully organised and a great success to raise that amount of money for such a worthy cause’​ 

 

At our 4th annual quiz in partnership with Morrisons, battle was joined by 11 teams who pitted their knowledge against the quiz master with the aim of raising funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) who came along with their promotional material.  Unfortunately, cobwebs had not been dusted from some brains but YAA were able to take away a cheque for £1000 !

A great evening with food, drink and an opportunity for various businesses to network with others.  Teams taking part were: Hartlaw; Frances Liddle Opticians; Manning Stainton; Hunters; Butler & Ridge; Wetherby Framing Company; Artisan Cheese; Bradleys Jewellers; Turn 7 and two of the organisations with whom the Lions work – Wetherby Arts Festival and The Bandstand Trust.  Winners by a very short head were Wetherby Arts Festival Team!!
