Visitors to next month’s Wetherby Beer Festival, organised by the Lions, can put their shirts on winning a valuable prize.

The Festival is adopting a cycling theme in which the wearers of the best cycling top in both the senior and junior categories will walk away with a bonus. Thanks to the generosity of the Wetherby Bike Shack’s Dean Buckle, the individuals judged to be the most strikingly attired in their Lycra will be presented with vouchers for £150 and £100 to be exchanged in-store at the well-known Horsefair outlet.

In a curtain-raiser to the event, free-wheeling Lion Nigel Keenlyside is this week undertaking 'Stage Two' of the 'Tour de Yorkshire' from Barnsley to Bedale. Make sure you don’t miss out on a major highlight of Wetherby’s social calendar when the Beer Festival comes to town on Friday and Saturday, May 24th -25th, 2019.

If you wish to sponsor him (all amounts are most welcome) you can make a donation through http://tinyurl.com/y6ev677a or you can meet him for a drink and hand over the money in cash at 'The Mews' on Bank Street, Wetherby at around 5.30 pm on Wednesday 10th April 2019. All proceeds of the event will go to the Lions chosen charity, Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
