Extra reindeer needed ! !
A big ‘THANK YOU!’ to Simon and the Tockwith reindeer!! Santa is so busy that he has at least ten reindeer in the stables ready to go. This year, because of social distancing, he needed extra help to bring the festive spirit to Wetherby and Linton. Therefore, three extra reindeer were brought from the stables to pull the sleigh – Ben, George and Simon! These extra reindeer pulled Santa’s sleigh for 10 nights round Wetherby and finished off in Linton on Friday 18th December. T


We couldn’t do it without you ! !
‘Thank you!’ to the good people of Wetherby and Linton for their terrific support of, and generous donations to, Santa’s sleigh! Our famous 'Dickensian Christmas Market' was a victim of the current circumstances but Santa is for children and he will not be beaten! With the help of his reindeer provided by Tockwith Motor Sport (TMS), he managed to complete nine (9) outings in Wetherby and one of Linton with his wonderful elves and the fantastic support of the people who came


Santa goes back to school ! !

The children were delighted to hear that Santa had already had his COVID jab and so would definitely be coming! There were lots of questions

Thanking Carers!
Wetherby District Lions are saying ‘thank you!’ to forty (40) voluntary carers who work tirelessly to look after relatives and friends. We had planned a meal for them, however current restrictions prevent this. Therefore, the Lions, with a very generous donation from Sir Robert Ogden, have produced forty vouchers that will be distributed to carers redeemable at The Fox & Hounds (Walton) or The Bay Horse (Kirk Deighton).
