Lions and Lambs thanking carers!
Wetherby District Lions are saying ‘thank you!’ to forty (40) voluntary carers who work tirelessly to look after relatives and friends. We had planned a meal for them but current restrictions prevent this. Chris Whitty! You will, however, meet members of Wetherby District Lions who will have erected their gazebos to provide shelter and who will welcome you and do their best to make your visit as effortless as possible.


A very happy 90th birthday to Colin, the 'Lion King' !
With over 30 shows with the Wetherby Musical Theatre Group and 55 years as a member of Wetherby District Lions Club, Colin is eminently qualified for the title of "Lion King" ! Colin Gaden was born at Norton, Malton in 1931 where he attended Malton Grammar School. Leaving school, he worked for the Public Health Inspector at Malton Town Hall and attended night school in Leeds studying and qualifying in Public Health.
