We received this wonderful letter from a Wetherby resident, for whom we sourced and arranged delivery of a mobility scooter, resulting in positive life changing freedom.

It’s always heart warming to be able to help and know we made a difference.

My New Independence.

I initially approached the Wetherby Lions simply looking to purchase a second hand scooter myself after being housebound for many years, but they kindly offered to provide one.I still can hardly believe it.

I am so glad and grateful to finally have a mobility scooter. Living with painful mobility challenges at a relatively young age can make the world feel very small. Having a suitable scooter has completely changed my daily routine and in fact, my life. I no longer have to worry about getting the dog out or being restricted to the house, day in day out.

The best part of having this scooter is the freedom it has given back to me. It has truly opened up my world, allowing me to get out and about independently for the first time in many years, enjoy a simple trip out with my children and the dog and live life on my own terms again.

It has made a massive difference to my life, my mental health and my freedom.

I am genuinely in awe of the Lions' kindness.
