Bottled Message to Health and Wellbeing Event

Wetherby Lion members were pleased to support the Wetherby in Support of the Elderly's 'Health and Wellbeing Event' held at the Boston Spa Village Hall on Wednesday 2th January 2022.

The 'Message in a Bottle' (MIAB) system is designed by Lions International to assist emergency responders when called out to a patient in need of help. It contains details of contacts, allergies and medication which can save vital minutes in providing urgent treatment. The bottle is usually placed in the fridge of the patient and a sticker put on the fridge door to let NHS paramedics know where to look for it when they arrive.
