Message from Pete, Vice Chair of The Bramham Village Hall Committee - "We were very grateful to all at Wetherby Lions for your recent, generous grant which went a huge way towards enabling us to fulfil our aim of reaching out to support those less fortunate in our community, particularly to our Community Christmas Day Lunch.

I am pleased to report that, with your help, our volunteers not only provided guests with lunch in the Village Hall on Christmas Day, but also delivered around 40 hampers to those in our community who, throughout the year, spend most of their time socially isolated.

It was a real community effort this year, which involved volunteers and contributors, both from the village and beyond, who freely donated their time, efforts and more towards making it an event the whole community can be proud of

The response just goes to show what being a community really should be about...a group of people that live in the same area who don't just know one another and feel they belong together; but actually care about each other".
