Wetherby Lions create their own 'Yorkshire Day'

Yorkshire Day at Tockwith Show​

Wetherby Lions created their own ‘Yorkshire Day’ at the Tockwith Show on 6th August 2017 with their ‘Flat Cap Throwing Competition’. Visitors to the show threw traditional ‘Yorkshire Flat Caps’ to win a trophy and 'Achievement Certificates'.

The competition saw the Men’s winner – Ken Wilks (22.10m); the Ladies’ winner – Kate Taylor (16.00m) and the Under 16’s winner – Ed Cornforth (17.30m) champion their class.

We also took our ‘Cuddly Lions’ out for a day at the show; many were won in our tombola game.
