Wetherby Lions Welcomes District Governor

Lion members welcomed District Governor, Michael Boldero and his wife Lion Carole to the Lions Business Meeting held on Monday 23 April 2018 at the Bridge Hotel and Spa Walshford.

Lion President John Boulton was pleased to welcome DG Michael and his wife Lion Carole to their first visit to the Club in his DG reign. In his remarks he said that he and his wife had enjoyed the meeting, particularly the good humour and banter from Club members. He did go on to explain some re-organisational matters - Wetherby Lions will carry on in their usual way!

Lion President John did ask DG Michael to present two long service awards to

Lion Ken Mackenzie for his 40 years of service with the Club, previously being with Tadcaster Lions Club; this Club is now part of Wetherby Lions. Well done Lion Ken !

Also to Lion John Wardley for his 30 year service to Wetherby District Lions Club.

Lion John has been a member of the Club since he first moved to Wetherby in December 1987. Well done Lion John!
