District Governor Clive Barwell takes one of the latest recruits through the Lionistic investiture ceremony. Lion Glynis, retired Medical Secretary, now enjoys archaeology, supporting brownies and her local school. She commented " I am looking forward to supporting a wider local community through my membership of the Lions organisation.

District Governor Clive Barwell takes the second of the latest recruits through the Lionistic investiture ceremony. Lion Phil, retired after 50 years in sports journalism, now enjoys walking, gardening and, of course, a multitude of sports "watching that is" he said ! !

Returning Lion Robin

District Governor Clive Barwell takes one of the latest recruits through the Lionistic investiture ceremony. Lion Robin, returns to the 'Den' having been 'roaming the jungle for some two years. He now wishes to continue his charitable work in the local community along side his other hobbies and altruistic support of the National Trust.
For fifty three years Wetherby District Lions Club members have been helping individuals and organisations in times of need assisted by the generosity of the people of the Wetherby district.
