Yes, all are welcome at Wetherby Lions Beer Festival taking place on 24th & 25th May 2019 in the St James' Church Centre, Wetherby. Don't miss out - get your tickets here now.

The redesign of literature for this year’s Wetherby Beer Festival has set tongues wagging throughout the town. One relative newcomer however must take the biscuit.

When Festival organiser Ken Campbell popped into pet store, Discount Feeds, located on the York Road Estate in Wetherby, to discuss the event with the store’s owners, Maisy gave it her immediate approval.

The local family owned store is now an enthusiastic sponsor of the event, which takes place at St James’s Church Rooms in the town on Friday May 24 (6 - 10 pm) and Saturday May 25 (Noon -8 pm).

Discount Feeds was established in February 2009. They aim to provide their customers with a great range of animal, pet and wild bird products ‘where care and quality count’. They have ample free parking to allow you to browse the store, and ask any questions you might have with regards to keeping your family’s animals in peak condition. Heavy bags? Not a problem they can carry them to your car for you, or use their free local delivery service on a Tuesday. Please feel free to contact them on 01937 580797 or find them on Facebook for their regular competitions and store updates.

Come along of Friday 24th May from 4.00 pm and see the well known local Irish Band, the 'Blarney Boys' (from 7.30 pm) and see the 'Mardi Gras Jazz Band' on Saturday from Noon.

Try the many beers that have been chosen this year from the brewers along Stage 2 of the Tour de Yorkshire. Including such delights as Barnsley-based Acorn Brewery’s yellow jersey-coloured On Ya Bike; Ainsty of York’s Dark Mild; Bingley Brewery’s Bingley Bitter; Bridgehouse of Eccup’s Aired Ale; Hambletons of Ripon’s Stallion Amber; Nomadic of Leeds’ Pale Ale; Pennine of Bedale’s South2North; Revolutions of Castleford’s Tour de Cas; Roosters of Bilton’s Capability Brown and Wetherby Brewco’s Wetherby Classic.
