Bramham Christmas Lunch & Village Hub

The Bramham Village Hall Committee were, once again, very grateful to all at Wetherby District Lions for their generous donation towards our 2022 Community Christmas Day Lunch.

The contribution from the Wetherby District Lions has not only gone towards providing our guests with some cheer and company on Christmas Day, but has also helped in this week's launch of "The Village Hub", our new, not-for-profit, pop-in Community Café and meeting place run entirely by volunteers from the village and open every Monday from 11.30am until 2pm.

The Village Hall Committee decided to kick start the café in view of the rising costs of living and growing issue of social isolation faced by so many village residents. It has been awarded a five-star Food Hygiene Rating by Leeds City Council's Food Safety Officer and is currently offering free tea, coffee and home-made cake. It's intended to be a haven at the centre of the village for those residents feeling the squeeze, the cold and the isolation this winter.

As with the Christmas Day Lunch, the Hub is a real community effort, run by a dedicated band of village volunteers who have freely donated their time, efforts and more.

These initiatives wouldn't be possible without the continued support from the Lions and other community groups. Please accept a very grateful thank you from myself and all the members of Bramham Village Hall Management Committee.
