'Fun Quiz Nite' Cheque Presentation

"Fantastic evening", "wonderful atmosphere", "great organisation", "when can we do it again?" were a few of the many positive comments about the 'Fun Quiz Nite' held on 26th November arranged by Wetherby District Lions Club and Morrisons Community Champion.

Plenty of questions, table service for drinks and great pizzas at half-time - what more could you want?

Twelve teams from the Wetherby business sector took part and raised a fantastic £582.00 for Young Lives vs Cancer! Other businesses who could not attend on the night contributed extremely generous raffle prizes.

The team from Morrisons won the quiz but really everyone was a winner as the evening was such a great success. The quiz trophy, kindly donated by Timpson, will be up for grabs at our next event in the New Year.

We can all agree with one participant who simply said "It was nice to be able to do something normal again" !
