Wetherby Beer Festival

Wetherby Lions are unable to stage our own Beer Festival this year, but fear not! We are very pleased to say that we are fully supporting a two-day fund-raising festival, being organised by Wetherby’s Grange Park. www.wetherbybeerfest.co.uk

The new Wetherby Beer Festival will very much be following in our tradition of bringing together the community, providing an array of the best local beers to enjoy while raising much needed funds to support the local community.

The Wetherby Beer Festival will take place at Grange Park on Friday & Saturday April 28-29. We hope that many of our supporter will be able to attend the festival; there is much to look forward to:

- 45 artisan, local and regional beers, ciders and stoats to sample;

- live music;

- a gin bar, champagne lounge;

- free children’s admission and FREE kids entertainment (Saturday);

- street food concessions.

For the business leaders in the community there will be an exclusive business networking event on the Friday afternoon, where there will be chance to connect with business contacts, suppliers and clients. Hopefully you’ll meet some new faces that will be good for your business.

Doors open 5-11pm on the Friday and 12noon until 11pm on the Saturday.

Deborah Kelly, Chair of Wetherby Beer Festival, explained: “All the profits from the Wetherby Beer Festival will be invested back into Grange Park, helping us to keep local sports thriving.

“Many Lions members will be attending the event, it’s a must for anyone who wants a great family day out over the May Bank Holiday weekend. We’re particularly grateful for the Lions’ support as it’s so important we keep our local grass roots sports going and we can only do that with the local community behind us.”

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.wetherbybeerfest.co.uk for £7 per person or £8.50 on the day.
