Congratulations to all our winners at Deighton Gates Primary School Fayre.
It was a challenging contest with the wind, even SuperPig couldn’t challenge the flat cap throwing record.
Also many cuddly lions were won, with lots of cuddles promised in their new homes, along with the "King of the Jungle"
Wetherby Lions supporting Tadcaster Family Fun Day.
We lent out four of our gazebos, providing some much needed shade on a wonderful hot day.
We hope everyone had an amazing time and it was a roaring success.

Come and see us again at Tockwith Show on Sunday 3rd August 2025

Reading the Wetherby Lions report on their “Liontastic weekend” shows how community teamwork builds structured, measurable impact similar to using a GCSE Physics Equation Sheet to solve problems methodically. The efforts of Wetherby Lions reflected in the article What a Liontastic weekend that was demonstrate how planning, like equations, turns community service into clear outcomes for local people and schools Liontastic weekend that was indeed.
Even when eggy car has to do more difficult things, the general style stays cartoonish and fun. The movements aren't too rough, the vehicle stays fun and bouncy, and the game doesn't go through too serious or intense hard spikes.
It sounds like the Deighton Gates Primary School Fayre was a roaring success! I love how the community came together, and those cuddly lions must have brought lots of smiles. Can't wait for the Tockwith Show in 2025. Word to markdown, it's great to see such positive contributions to the community.
