It is with great sadness that Wetherby Lions have heard of the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He will be remembered for his naval service in World War II, his constant support of the Queen and his commitment to charitable work both nationally and internationally.
Lions clubs around Britain and the world will miss a man whose lifetime of service to others and the environment reflected the Lions motto of "We Serve". Our deepest sympathy is with the Queen and her family at this sad time.
